I'm still learning, and in recent years I've learned how to say "no" to more things without regret or apology.
It was hard at first - disappointing someone else is never fun or easy. But then, I had one of those blessed lightbulb moments. I realized that by saying "no" to some things, I am saying "yes" to myself.
Every single thing takes time. What's important is to me now is being able to say "yes" to the things that address MY top priorities: my health and fitness, my friends and family, my work and pet projects.
I've learned that it's not only OK for me to be a YES woman, it's the key to balancing my life and reaching my goals.
